Calypso Hurricane - caribbean influenced

Calypso Hurricane incorporates the talents of five superior musicians. Collectively this band plays the most unique, exciting music to be heard. During the last 17 years, we have played some of the best parties in New England and released three CDs. Calypso Hurricane covers an extensive repertoire of calypso music, which ranges from our own songs to the earliest recorded calypsos available. We play Virgin Island calypsos taken from 78 rpm phonographs recorded in the 1920's as well as the standards from the repertoire of the Talbot Brothers from Bermuda, and Harry Belefonte from Trinidad; both recorded in the 1950's.
