John Payne Band

The John Payne Band is a versatile group that has played jazz, R and B, swing, rock, Motown and other styles at over 1000 weddings and functions since the mid-80's. The band is recommended by The Harvard Club of Boston, Castle Hill in Ipswich, The Henderson House in Weston, The Lyman Estate and Robert Treat Paine House in Waltham, and the Hartwell House in Lexington.

About John Payne: Bandleader John Payne has been performing and recording for over 30 years. He has recorded with Van Morrison on "Astral Weeks" (recently named the 40th best album of all time on VH-1), Bonnie Raitt on "Give it Up", and Noel Stookey (of Peter Paul and Mary), and put out three albums under his own name on Mercury and arista. He has also appeared as featured soloist with Bonnie Raitt on Saturday Night Live, and with Pheoebe Snow on Johnny carson, Midnight special, Merv Griffin, and Don Kirschner's Rock Concert. He helps old ladies cross the street, and always calls his mother on Mother's Day!!
