"Most people will remember me from WFNX in the late 80's and 90's. During the same period I was also on WZLX with the affectionate alias of "Chopperman". I was heavily involved with the morning shows at both stations. I flew in a Bell Jet Ranger Helicopter for several years, and the last few years in a Cessna 180 airplane. I also was on the air with WZID in Manchester New Hampshire. They called me Capt'n Chris! After I walked away from a plane crash in November of '96, I headed into the studio to do my reporting. With the development of multiple cameras watching the roads around Boston, and major high ways in the state, it became more practical to watch the traffic from a studio.

At that point I began reporting for WBZ, WRKO, and WXLO in Worcester. I was often heard, never seen on both Channel 7 and Channel 4 for their morning news shows. Later WB 56 began a morning news program and made me a part of the cast. I left traffic for good in April of 2001 to take over the Morning Show at WESX in Salem. I love my North Shore community and used the job as a way to be more involved. I loved every minute I was on the air at WESX.

Everyday for almost five years I helped the North Shore start their day off with news, good music, and I hope, a smile. The station was sold earlier this year and I have ended my 26 years of broadcasting to pursue other interests. But I continue to enjoy playing gigs. When I'm at a gig - I see and feel how people react to the music I am playing instantly. I've often been asked what my favorite song is, or what my favorite type of music is.

I have many songs, from many genres that I love - but there is not one type of music that I like more than an other. After a quarter century of playing other people's favorite songs at gigs, for me, what ever song is making the people dance is my favorite song of the moment. Happiness is a full dance floor!"
