All of us are feeling squeezed by the recent economic downturn. But that doesn’t mean you can’t afford a great band, DJ, or ceremony musicians for your wedding for function. Here are a few ways MusicCo.com can help you meet your new budget:
Make an Offer |
| Many of our best entertainers have holes in their 2009 schedule due to the economy. Most are willing to negotiate a lower price than normal for a Saturday night, and even more for weekdays, Fridays, and Sundays. Many buyers have the misconception that their entertainment will cost more through an agency. That is possible, but the opposite is more likely: the leverage we can apply to our entertainers as a large agency with hundreds of clients and accounts allows us to negotiate a lower price than you might be able to get on your own, with the added benefit of working with a fully licensed, bonded, and insured company. |
Band + DJ |
| Band + DJ - Okay, your 401 K is in shambles, but you can still afford the elegant option of live music. Instead of hiring a $5000.00 band for the evening, consider hiring a jazz trio or quartet for cocktails and dinner (many of the more expensive groups end up playing jazz and standards for a couple of hours anyway), and then a DJ for the remainder of the evening. As an example, several of our premier jazz groups will play for two hours for as little as $900. Add to that a $750- $1250 DJ and you can come in under $2000 for all of your music. |
DJ for Ceremony and Cocktail Hour |
| You’re hiring a DJ for the reception, but did you know that most DJs have portable systems they can use for the ceremony? Instead of paying, for example, a harpist $400 for the ceremony, your DJ could include the ceremony for as little as $100 additional. If none of these options are relevant to you, don’t be shy; call us or use our Instant Chat to speak with a consultant about any questions you might have. |
